Man City’s Jack Grealish sends message to Declan Rice after fallout

Man City winger Jack Grealish was full of compliments for Arsenal star Declan Rice after meeting up for international duty with England.

Grealish, 29, and Rice, 25, put their club allegiances to one side, including the fall-out of last month’s controversial 2-2 draw between City and Arsenal, while on press duty with England, joking with each other while asking various questions.

The winger is once again in contention for club and country after a frustrating 2023-24 season that saw him miss out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.

Both players were on the scoresheet during the previous international break, scoring in England’s 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland, the nation they had previously represented before switching.

Jack Grealish and Declan Rice able to look past Arsenal – Man City rivalry

Arsenal are once again hot on Man City’s heals, sitting level on points with the current champions, with 17 after their first seven Premier League games and one behind the leaders of Liverpool.

Unlike previous England teams, this generation can look beyond their clubs and form friendships with rival players, something Grealish took to Instagram to express.

The two will have to put their serious faces on as they prepare for UEFA Nations League games against Greece and Finland as England expect to top their group.

Once the international break is over both clubs will face relatively easy opponents with Arsenal travelling to Bournemouth and City heading to bottom places Wolves.
