Man United could sell four big stars ‘all of a sudden’ after Cristiano Ronaldo update – pundit

Danny Mills has tipped Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo to lead a summer exodus at Man United this summer.

The former England defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the lack of activity at Old Trafford surrounding the 28-year-old’s contract shows the Red Devils are not “desperate” to keep the midfielder.

Pogba, Edinson Cavani, and Jesse Lingard are among five Man United stars out of contract in June.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (23 March) that Porto believe the door has opened for Ronaldo – who is contracted until June 2023 – to make a romantic return to Portugal.

Mills claimed it is “pretty clear” that Pogba is headed for the exit door at Old Trafford.

When asked if Man United could make a late attempt to keep the Frenchman, he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley: “They haven’t come forward with an offer yet, have they?

“His contract expires in three months. It’s pretty clear by now that he will be gone.

“If he hasn’t been offered a deal by now, it doesn’t really say that they’re desperate to keep him, does it?

“I’d assume that he will be gone. Cavani will be gone, Lingard will be gone – Ronaldo might even have to be moved on.

“All of a sudden, that’s four players gone out of the squad.”

According to The Sun (24 March), Newcastle and Aston Villa are monitoring Pogba’s situation ahead of a potential shock swoop this summer.
