Man United fans slammed by pundit after ‘disgusting’ Harry Maguire update – ‘I’m not having it’
The recent criticism of Harry Maguire by some Man United fans is “disgusting”.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider amid fresh criticism of the Red Devils captain.
On Saturday (23 July), The Daily Mail reported that Maguire, 29, was booed by fans in Australia for the second time in as many games when his name was read out ahead of his side’s pre-season clash against Aston Villa.

In Man United’s pre-season clash against Crystal Palace on Tuesday (19 July) the defender was jeered every time he touched the ball.
Maguire was also abused by England fans at Wembley during a clash against Ivory Coast at the end of March.
Kenny claims Maguire has been made a scapegoat by some fans due to his £80million transfer fee.
“He just has to go out and perform,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I’m not having it, I think it’s disgusting. You have got to support your players. Whatever has gone on last season with Harry Maguire, he wasn’t the only player who played badly.
“I think Harry will hold his hands up. At the end of the day, he knows the only way this will stop is with better performances.
“The fact is, there were worse players at Man United than Harry Maguire last season. I just feel like he is a scapegoat because he cost £80million.

“It’s meant to be a fresh start, there is a new manager.
“I think the booing is disgusting, I’m not having it at all.”
In other news, a club has agreed in principle to sign a Man United 22-year-old who is on the pre-season tour.
