Man United news: Finance guru salutes Rangnick as Honigstein deal reportedly complete
It is refreshing to see Ralf Rangnick seek assistance in dealing with media communications at Man United.
So says finance expert Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about recent developments behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail reported last Friday (4 February) that Rangnick has recruited German journalist Raphael Honigstein as a media adviser.

Honigstein will suspend most of his work with the world’s top media outlets for six months to give guidance to Rangnick.
The interim boss is understood to have sought counsel from Honigstein because he arrived at United in November last year without an agent.
Plumley explained that the media churn is a vital component of United as a business and that bringing in an expert can only be a positive move.
“Rangnick was a bit taken aback by the level of media interest,” the Sheffield Hallam University expert told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“If he’s not the most comfortable in that space, it makes sense to go down this route.
“I think it’s quite refreshing to see someone seek this support with this side of the game.
“In the world we live in, the minute a manager says something out of turn, it gets jumped on very quickly.
“Honigstein is very capable and will deal well with the media. That’s a fundamental side of the business of the club.
“I think this is something we might see more of at other clubs moving forward.”

United are 5th in the Premier League after their 1-1 draw away to Burnley on Tuesday (8 February).
They are next in action against Southampton on Saturday (12 February).
