Man United news: Pundit slams Aaron Wan-Bissaka after source’s quit reveal
Frank McAvennie has claimed Aaron Wan-Bissaka has not done enough for Man United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker doesn’t understand why people are “raving” about Wan-Bissaka‘s recent performances.
The 25-year-old had been impressing under Erik ten Hag after the World Cup break as he filled in for the injured Diogo Dalot but has dropped back to the bench since the Dalot’s return.
But, sources told this site (22 February) that Wan-Bissaka is giving serious thought to quitting Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The defender’s current contract runs until 2024 but United are said to be exploring the possibility of signing another right-back in the summer and are willing to listen to offers for their current second choice if they secure another option.
The former Crystal Palace star is not willing to be a back-up option and is considering a potential departure.
McAvennie suggested Wan-Bissaka’s exit would be good for both parties.
“I keep hearing Wan-Bissaka has been excellent and I am thinking, really? I have been watching the wrong games,” he told Football Insider.

“I think there is a lot more to come from him. I think he is better than what he has shown. Obviously he is better than what he has shown because Man United bought him.
“Why is he not bringing his best? This is a manager who wants everyone to play at their capacity. I think he has played better since Ten Hag came in. But whether he has played the way everyone is raving about him, I have not seen that.”
In other news, according to sources, Man United set sights on Victor Osimhen as four-man striker shortlist revealed.
