Man United told to complete Adrian Rabiot signing after Sky update – pundit
Adrian Rabiot will improve the Man United midfield “to no end” if he joins the club.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Red Devils’ transfer business.
On Wednesday (10 August), Sky Sports reported Man United’s interest in signing Juventus midfielder Rabiot, 27.

This came after an opening day defeat to Brighton in which Fred and Scott McTominay failed to impress.
McLeish is a big fan of Rabiot after watching him during his time at PSG.
“I haven’t heard much about Rabiot in the last year or two but I was very, very impressed with him when PSG were doing really well in the Champions League,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.
“Rabiot was very much a big part in that. I love his all-action midfield play and his intelligence.
“When I saw the name linked with United I thought ‘at last’, there is a player who could improve this midfield no end.
“I gave Scott [McTominay] his debut, he was just a kid at Man United at the time. I felt he didn’t have all the answers yet.
“He is not the type who is going to be there, running the midfield as a holding midfielder. He is more industrious.
“I do think he has something to give a decent team. Where they have gone wrong in the past, is recruitment.
“So they need to put that right.”

Rabiot is currently at Juventus, where he has made 129 appearances.
He has also made 29 appearances for the FRench national side.
