Marc Cucurella is about to sign for Man City after source’s update – pundit
It is a “matter of time” before Man City sign Marc Cucurella as they look set to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal.
That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England attacker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Cucurella moving to the Etihad from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Football Insider first reported last month (22 June) that City had agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday (20 July) that they are now ready to make contact with Brighton and a bid is coming.
He also reported on Tuesday (19 July) that a £30million deal is in place between Man City and Arsenal for Zinchenko.
The Ukraine international has now left City’s pre-season tour of the USA to complete his medical at Arsenal.
“They need to get Cucurella,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I rate him highly after watching him last season at Brighton. He gets up and down the pitch, he’s very good on the ball, can defend.
“The amount of players they are letting go, they need to bring some more in to balance their squad out.
“Zinchenko was a great versatile player who could come in for [Joao] Cancelo for certain games.
“If Man City want Cucurella they are going to get him. It’s a matter of time.”

Cucrella only moved to Brighton last summer (2021) but enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign on the south coast.
The Spain international scored once and provided two assists in 38 games across all competitions and won the club’s player of the season award.
