‘Marcus Rashford ban emerges at Aston Villa in aftermath of Liverpool clash’
Aston Villa have seemingly attempted to impose a bizarre ban around Marcus Rashford since drawing with Liverpool in 19 February, reports MailOnline.
Rashford joined Aston Villa on-loan from Man United in January, after a fall-out with manager Ruben Amorim.
The English forward had struggled at United, and after moves to Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund fell through, a move to the Midlands was agreed.
Since joining, Rashford has impressed for Aston Villa, including a stunning performance against Chelsea that saw the England international assist both goals in the 2-1 win.
Aston Villa are now accelerating their plans to sign Rashford permanently, with a £40million buy option understood to have been including in the loan deal.
Aston Villa media ban questions surrounding Marcus Rashford
Following Rashford’s first start for his new club, the Mail reported that, after a question directed at Youri Tielemans relating to the England star, a Villa press officer had quickly shut down the interaction.
“No questions on Rashford”, was the feedback from the club official, intercepting any attempts to get an inside scoop from the Belgian midfielder, or any of his teammates for that matter.

Whilst the winger was substituted in the 67th minute having failed to score or assist against the table-topping Reds, Rashford caused problems for Real Madrid target Trent Alexander-Arnold all night long.
Since then, the United loanee has been used as a super-sub by Unai Emery, and against Chelsea, had a devastating impact.

Man United financial mess a blessing for Aston Villa
Football Insider Verdict
Man United’s rivals are looking to take advantage of the club’s financial mess, with teams looking to remove potentially lucrative sell-on clauses for instant cash.
It is not too far a leap to assume that Villa may be able to negotiate down the buy-out clause for Rashford in the summer.
However, should the England international’s form continue the way it has been, Rashford will not be short of suitors in the coming transfer window.
