Matty Cash reacts excitedly after Aston Villa deal agreed

Aston Villa defender Matty Cash was quick to react on social media following the club’s announcement of their latest signing.

It’s been a challenging start to the summer for Aston Villa, with financial constraints limiting their movement in the transfer market.

Despite concerns over Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Aston Villa sold their women’s team to parent company V Sports in a bid to comply with Premier League regulations. However, financial pressures continue to hover over Unai Emery’s side.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Aston Villa could be forced to cash in on first-team players, with the threat of UEFA sanctions still present.

Among those potentially heading for the exit is right-back Cash. Aston Villa are open to offers for Cash and any funds received could be reinvested or used to ease Villa’s financial position.

Still, despite the speculation surrounding his future, the right-back appeared in good spirits as he reacted positively to the arrival of a new teammate online.

Matty Cash sends welcome message to Marco Bizot after Aston Villa transfer confirmed

It was confirmed on 15 July that Aston Villa have completed the signing of goalkeeper Marco Bizot from French side Brest.

Following the announcement, Bizot posted on Instagram with a message to the fans, writing: “Proud to become part of this fantastic club, can’t wait to get started.”

Cash responded in the comments with a warm: “Welcome bro!!” while teammate Lucas Digne reacted with fire emojis.

Football Insider reported that Bizot will not replace Emiliano Martinez, but instead will be Villa’s new second-choice keeper following the departure of Robin Olsen.

The 34-year-old arrives with considerable experience, having made 41 appearances last season — including nine in the Champions League — offering further depth and reliability to Emery’s squad.

Despite easing some financial pressure through the sale of their women’s team, Villa may still need to sell players to fund major incomings, and Morgan Rogers is attracting serious interest from Chelsea.

Football Insider revealed that despite the interest, Emery is keen to keep Rogers at the club beyond the end of the window.

Villa are also believed to be exploring a deal for Nicolas Jackson, and Rogers could be discussed in those negotiations. Although no official bid has been made at this stage, the club may face a crucial decision over whether to cash in or hold firm.
