Two Leeds teens loved by Bielsa set for breakthrough after source reveal – Mills

Crysencio Summerville and Sam Greenwood will have to bide their time until next season to break into the Leeds United first team, according to Danny Mills.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender insisted Leeds are well stocked in the attacking areas but Summerville and Greenwood will be happy to be in and around Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team.

Football Insider revealed on 2 September the club rejected a number of bids for Summerville as Bielsa has big plans for the 19-year-old.

This site also reported earlier this week (8 September) Greenwood, 19, has blown Bielsa and his coaches away and is described as “phenomenal”.

Summerville is a winger by trade while Greenwood has played as a centre-forward for the Under-23s.

Asked whether either could break into the senior side this term, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It’s going to be difficult to make a real impact if you look at what’s ahead of them in those positions.

“Dan James can play in the Rodrigo position as well. Or, you can shove Raphinha inside and have Dan James on the right-hand side.

“Harrison has that position on the left sewn up. Tyler Roberts in there in those positions as well.

“It’s quite congested in there already. Leeds are a Premier League side, it’s not easy to break into any Premier League side, no matter how good you are.

“They’ve just got to keep developing, be patient with one more season.

“As long as they are in and around it, as long as they are getting a little sniff of it, I’m sure they will be relatively happy.”
