Mohamed Salah backed to sign ‘unbelievable’ new Liverpool deal after update – pundit
Paddy Kenny is predicting a breakthrough in Mohamed Salah’s contract talks with Liverpool.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, about the attacker’s chances of staying at Anfield.
Salah, 30, has just over 12 months remaining on his deal at Anfield after last signing terms in July 2018.

According to The Athletic‘s James Pearce (1 June), the attacker will leave Liverpool next summer unless he receives a “significantly improved” contract offer.
However, as per the Mirror (19 June), Liverpool believe the signings of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz this year have given the club leverage in talks with the Egypt international.
Kenny has a feeling the player and club will come to a compromise over a new deal.
“I still think something might come with the contract,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I have a sneaky feeling that could still come off. I’ve touched on it before, give him what he wants.
“He’s an unbelievable player, how much will it cost to replace him? Then you have to pay his replacement those ridiculous wages so just give those to him.
“I hope he does stay at Liverpool or at least stay in this country. I really do love watching him, he’s such an entertaining player and he is so important to that team.”

Salah finished as Liverpool’s top scorer in the 2021-22 season, bagging 31 goals in 51 total outings.
He has now scored 156 goals for the club.
