
Moussa Diaby agrees ‘quadruple-your-money’ deal as Aston Villa exit finalised
Moussa Diaby has agreed to an astronomical Al Ittihad salary of £400,000-a-week as he finalises Aston Villa transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
Aston Villa have accepted a £50 million bid from the Saudi Pro League club for the 25-year-old Frenchman.
The versatile forward only joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, and Aston Villa still owes the German champions £20+ million, as revealed by Football Insider (July 17).
Diaby’s medical started on Tuesday (July 23) and the versatile forward looks set to more than quadruple his salary as full details of “jaw-dropping” package emerge.
Villa will seek to bring in another ‘big money’ signing after securing the signings of Amadou Onana and Jaden Philogene this summer.

Since joining the club last summer Diaby has become an integral part of Unai Emery’s squad as they qualified for the Champions League for the first time since 1982-83.
Diaby scored 10 goals and got nine assists in 54 appearances for the club last season making him Aston Villa’s fifth top goal scorer.
