Multi-million Rangers star faces Danny Rohl axe: ‘He offers next to nothing’
Danny Rohl may be about to get rid of one particular Rangers star after some stuttering form in the early stages of his reign.
The German has restored the optimism at Ibrox since his appointment at the end of October, and their latest victory on Saturday afternoon ensured that his 100 per cent record in Premiership action remains intact.
Mohamed Diomande netted a late winner for Rangers as they beat Livingston 2-1 on home turf, with Emmanuel Fernandez having previously opened the scoring with his first goal for the club.
Rohl has handed opportunities to the majority of his squad in recent weeks as he continues to assess the group at his disposal, but this man has struggled to show what he can do so far.

Rohl to axe Thelo Aasgaard in ‘traffic-light system’
Thelo Aasgaard has had a difficult start at Rangers since his arrival from Luton Town in the summer, and he squandered another big opportunity to impress in the win over Livingston.
The attacker started the game in the number 10 role, but he failed to have the impact that his boss would have been hoping for when he handed in the team sheet.
Aasgaard has now scored just once in his opening 19 competitive appearances for the Gers since his summer switch, and he could soon be facing the axe from Rohl due to his frustrating displays.
Gordon Parks wrote in this weekend’s print edition of the Sunday Mail that the Norway international “continues to offer next to nothing.”
The journalist pointed towards Rohl’s “traffic-light system” that he uses to assess his new squad, and added that the 23-year-old “should be worried about seeing red.”

Rangers splashed out a fee of £3.5million to secure Aasgaard’s signature in the summer, but he is already on the verge of potentially being cut adrift by his boss.
Thelo Aasgaard is a frustrating reminder of Russell Martin’s Rangers tenure
Rangers fans effectively hounded out Russell Martin after a woeful start to the season, but the effects of the 39-year-old’s reign are still being felt at Ibrox.
His successor has been left with a bloated squad with several players who offer little in terms of their performances, and Aasgaard firmly falls into that category.
The youngster simply hasn’t lived up to expectations north of the border, and he has looked devoid of all confidence since he moved to his new club in the summer.
Lyall Cameron and Joe Rothwell were also Martin signings and have received a hugely limited number of minutes since he was dismissed.
Rohl will surely have a deal to sell Aasgaard in his sights in January, and there are likely to be plenty more players that he will look to offload from the squad this winter.
