Newcastle fans rage at confirmed Miguel Almiron news

Newcastle United fans have been left fuming at Eddie Howe after his latest comments surrounding the future of Miguel Almiron.

Almiron has been heavily linked with a move away from St James’ Park this summer, but Howe appears to have squashed those rumours, labelling the winger “pivotal”.

Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Newcastle will accept offers between £25million and £30million, but those offers are yet to arrive.

Following the departure of Yankuba Minteh on 30 June, fans have been calling for the Magpies to sign a new right-winger, with Almiron no longer deemed good enough.

However, Howe’s comments seem to suggest he is happy with the Paraguayan remaining his first-choice option, leading to frustration among the supporters.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia have expressed an interest in signing Almiron this summer after failing to land his signature in January, but no official move has been made.

The winger has been a regular fixture in pre-season and looks likely to begin the Premier League season with Newcastle with no deal on the horizon.

Fans have questioned the manager’s constant loyalty to players who have not been deemed good enough by the supporters at St James’ Park.

In other news, AC Milan are in advanced talks with Tottenham to sign Emerson Royal.
