Newcastle United fans have been left fuming after Tosin Adarabioyo has reportedly decided to move to Chelsea rather than join them.
The Magpies had been confident of securing the Fulham defender’s signature this summer, but Sky Sports now claim Chelsea have beaten them to his signing with a medical imminent.
Adarabioyo, 26, is out of contract with Fulham at the end of the month, making him available on a free transfer with multiple clubs circling, and Chelsea look likely to win the race.
Football Insider revealed that Newcastle had made a “huge” offer they felt would tempt the defender to choose them despite Chelsea’s interest, but he has chosen the Blues.

Newcastle were looking to land two free transfers to strengthen their defence, given financial constraints, but have now missed out on Adarabioyo.
Newcastle fans insisted he has now agreed to sit on Chelsea’s bench given their strength in depth in his position, but many raged at their owners for missing out, labelling it “embarrassing” and “a joke”.
Many fans, meanwhile, insisted the defender would regret his decision.
