Newcastle United mooted as destination for Wilfried Zaha after journalist’s transfer reveal – pundit
Paul Robinson has named Newcastle United as a potential destination for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper said the 29-year-old “would fit into” Eddie Howe’s system at St. James’ Park.
Zaha has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Selhurst Park.

According to journalist David Ornstein, speaking on The Five Podcast (20 October), there is a feeling the winger will leave as a free agent next summer.
It is said that the player hopes to join a Champions League club.
However, Robinson suggested Zaha should join Newcastle over Arsenal or Tottenham.
“Look at Spurs, would he get in that front three? Probably not,” he told Football Insider. “You would be taking him for the sake of taking him.
“There was talk of him going to Arsenal but with the form [Gabriel] Martinelli and [Bukayo] Saka are in I’m not sure he would start.

“He will not want to go to a top-six club for the sake of it. He will want to play. Zaha is a high quality player. The last thing he wants is to be a bit-part player.
“When you look at Newcastle, that could be an option. Look at the way they play with [Allan] Saint-Maximin and [Miguel] Almiron. I think he would fit into that system. He could have an impact there and play most weeks.”
