Newcastle United tipped to complete Joao Pedro buy-to-loan deal – pundit
Newcastle United fans must get on board with the club if they choose to sign Joao Pedro in January.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacker’s future.
Sources told Football Insider on 21 November that Newcastle have a “concrete” interest in the Watford forward, 21, ahead of the January transfer window.

This site revealed in the summer (15 August) that the club had a £20million offer turned down by Watford in the summer.
The Brazilian then signed a new five-year contract with the Championship club but that has not put Newcastle off as he has impressed with eight goal contributions in 17 league games so far this season.
McManus insists Pedro would be a good signing for the club.
“He’s not the big name some fans will be wanting but they can’t all be superstars,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“We’re talking about a young guy who has his whole career ahead of him and he is already performing well. He has done it in the Premier League too.
“He’s one for the future so I don’t think fans should read too much into it. You need depth and Pedro could learn from the likes of Wilson and Wood.
“Maybe he would be loaned straight back out, I don’t know. I just don’t think fans should turn their nose up because he is a Championship player.”

Pedro moved to Watford from Brazilian side Fluminense in January 2020.
He scored three times and provided one assist in 31 Premier League games in the 2021-22 season but he could not prevent the Hornets from being relegated.
