Nico Raskin sends emotional seven-word message as Rangers exit confirmed
Nico Raskin has taken to social media with a new message following an exit from Rangers as major changes take shape at Ibrox.
The 24-year-old had an incredible individual campaign with the Gers, notching five goals and 11 assists from the centre of midfield across all competitions, capturing the attention of many.
Football Insider now understands that Rangers will be willing to accept £20million for Raskin’s signature, with Leeds United among the teams interested in the Belgian this summer.
Ibrox is set to undergo a plethora of changes ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, on and off the pitch, due to the new ownership of 49ers Enterprises, led by Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh.
Those changes already appear to be taking shape ahead of next season, with Russell Martin taking charge at the helm, but his appointment has triggered the exit of assistant manager Issame Charai.

Taking to Instagram stories (13 June), Raskin wrote: “Thanks for everything, Issam. I’ll miss you,” grateful to the assistant coach’s role in the player’s development this season.
Having joined Philippe Clement’s set-up as the assistant manager in January, he remained a key part of Barry Ferguson‘s backroom staff before now leaving the club by mutual consent.

Russell Martin to lead Rangers race to catch Celtic
Football Insider verdict
While Raskin is one of the most talented players within the squad, it is important for the new owners to strike the right balance between starting afresh and sticking to what the club knows.
The possible profit that could be made from the 24-year-old’s signature could help kickstart the Gers’ summer transfer window, which will likely be vital to Martin’s success at Ibrox.
Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Rangers have a “massive” opportunity to improve their financial situation, with regular Champions League qualification surely now a target.

The transfer tactics for this summer are becoming clearer, with Mick Brown telling Football Insider that Rangers have set their sights on Christian Eriksen following his departure from Man United.
Several of the current squad are seen as deadweight heading into the new season, though Tom Lawrence, Ianis Hagi, and Leon Balogun have all been released at the end of their contracts.
Stars such as Hamza Igamane, Mohamed Diomande, and Jefte could all still leave Ibrox over the coming weeks, but the Light Blues will need to replace these if they stand any chance of catching Celtic on the pitch.
