Paul Pogba: Man United may lose their only player not ‘falling off a cliff’ after news in last 48 hours – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Paul Pogba to leave Man United when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Man United have “fallen off a cliff” and Pogba will want to be playing Champions League football next season.
The France international has a goal and an assist in his last three Premier League appearances after over three months out with a hamstring injury.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday (14 February) Paris Saint-Germain are preparing Pogba a mega-money contract offer.
And Agbonlahor has suggested he will explore other options if United’s decline continues.
He told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley: “Man United are not just going backwards, they’ve fallen off a cliff.
“They have been dreadful. The performances of Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes have been inconsistent.
“Marcus Rashford and Sancho are not doing enough. If I was a betting man I wouldn’t bet on Man United finishing fourth.
“Sancho has looked a bit better but I’m thinking of the Sancho we saw at Dortmund. It’s not enough. He should be the main man at Man United, he should be getting on the ball and making things happen. Don’t be in and out of games, can you have a good 90 minutes, not just 20 minutes?
“The only bright spark recently has been Pogba’s return. He’s been their best player since he’s come back, he’s the only one turning up.
“Pogba will now do what is best for Pogba. If he thinks Man United can go places, he’ll stay but if he thinks they are going backwards I’m sure he’ll leave.

“Maybe he wants a different challenge, not just staying at Man United who might not have Champions League football.
“I’m sure he will use his contract situation to try and get a move.”
In other news, Ralf Rangnick could be sacked soon after a ‘massively concerning’ report.
