‘Perfect start to next season’, ‘What a player’ – Leeds fans meltdown as major update says deal all but done

Leeds United fans finally have something to cheer after yesterday’s drama over the summer tour to Myanmar.

Leeds dominated the headlines for all the wrong reasons yesterday and fans will be hugely relieved to see some good news today.

And it’s big. Pablo Hernandez is ready to sign a new two-year contract with Leeds with his current contract set to expire in just two games’ time.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the deal is almost done, with Hernandez poised to sign the deal and commit himself to Elland Road until 2020, when he will be 35.

Hernandez has been one of the few shining lights from the Leeds first team this season, and the playmaker is hugely popular with the fans.

There was talk that he might return with his family to Spain, but that looks set to be put on the back-burner as he readies himself for another promotion charge with Leeds next season.

Fans are delighted with the news and took to Twitter to celebrate, after weathering the storm of Myanmar yesterday.
