Tottenham are reportedly confident of completing the signing of Everton playmaker Ross Barkley this summer, but it remains to be seen how he will fit into the Spurs side.
Bleacher Report claims that Spurs envisage 23-year-old Barkley putting pen to paper before the end of the summer transfer window, despite Everton’s asking price of £50million.
It is said that Spurs believe Barkley will become available for £30million towards the end of the window, a figure that would suit the north London side much more.
The report also states that Barkley will ask for wages of around £100,000 a week at his next club, with United and Chelsea also tracking the England international.
Spurs are yet to complete a signing this summer but would make waves in the window with the capture of the Toffees’ academy product, even if it is seemingly a struggle to fit him into Pochettino’s well-oiled attack.
Yet the Argentine tactician will have a plan up his sleeve.
