Pochettino is ‘tailor-made’ for Man United after reveal via Sky – pundit

Kevin Campbell has insisted Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is “tailor-made” for Man United.

The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 49-year-old’s ability to bring through youngsters is second-to-none.

Speaking on Sky Sports (27 December), Man United legend Gary Neville claimed he would like to see Pochettino succeed interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

The former Tottenham boss will have just a year left to run on his contract at Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

Campbell insisted the Argentine’s record with youth will be the biggest feather in his cap should he go for the Old Trafford hot seat.

“I think it’s been geared towards Pochettino this whole time,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.

“Just the way he can get the whole club together and really galvanise the whole place, it’d do Man United the world of good.

“He’s really shown he can bring the kids through as well. There might well be better managers out there, but there’s none better than Pochettino in terms of bringing through the kids and getting the best out of them.

“I think he’s tailor-made for United.”

Pochettino was mooted as a potential hire when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer departed last month.

Man United

Man United sit sixth in the Premier League following last night’s 3-1 win over Burnley at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are four points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal with a game in hand.

In other news, pundit insists he “would love” to play against “awful” Man United defender Harry Maguire.
