Pundit drops ‘massive’ David Moyes exit claim after West Ham twist

David Moyes will be the West Ham manager next season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton suggested the Europa Conference League win has bought Moyes more time in the eyes of fans and the club.

Last week (17 June), Football Insider revealed that the Scot’s future at the Hammers is still set to be resolved.

The Irons are in the final stages of appointing a new technical director and Moyes is worried about how much his influence will be reduced at the London Stadium.

The club expect Moyes to continue as manager for the final year of his contract following the historic European win.

When asked what the Hammers boss will be thinking about his future, Hutton told Football Insider:I think the European win has bought him time and I think he should get time.

The season before, getting to the semi-final of the Europa League, they had a decent season.

To go back the following season and get to a European final, win it, although they did not have the best league form, all those games take their toll on you.

He will want additions to the squad to make them stronger. If they can get a striker that can score 15-plus goals would be a massive help for them.

Moving forward he will look to have a better season in the league and if he gets off to a good start I am sure the fans will be happy.
