Odsonne Edouard’s “ship has sailed” at Celtic and the striker will leave the club at the end of the season.

That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton forward Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 23-year-old’s future at Parkhead.

This site revealed on Tuesday that the Glasgow giants had slashed their price tag for Edouard to just £25million.

It comes after the France Under-21 international switched agents and joined London-based Stellar Group – an agency responsible for the likes of Gareth Bale and Kieran Tierney.

His 23 appearances across all competitions this season have yielded 11 goals and four assists.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Edouard’s future, Campbell said:

“I think he is a man with a massive future.

“There is a lot of clubs interested in him and of course the club I love, Arsenal, have been linked with him.

“Changing agents tells you a bit more about what is to come. I think his ship has sailed at Celtic, at the end of the season at least. It is the end of a great era but I think it is time for him to move onto pastures new.”

Edouard is currently one of 13 players self-isolating for the Hoops after Christopher Jullien tested positive for Covid-19 upon his return from Dubai.

He will not be available for Saturday’s Scottish Premiership fixture against Livingston but could return to action next week.

In other news, Nick Hammond’s position at Celtic is under a ‘major threat’ as the club plan huge changes in light of recent events.
