Pundit makes Man United ‘panic’ claim after source’s January transfer plan reveal
Noel Whelan has claimed the Manchester United board do not want to show any signs of “panic” by buying new players in January.
The former Leeds United striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has insisted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a more than capable squad at his disposal.
An Old Trafford source told Football Insider the club are not planning on signing anyone in the winter window.

It is understood the Glazer-led board believe there has been enough expenditure in recent windows.
They are now putting the onus on Solskjaer to deliver with the superstars at the club.
Whelan has insisted there is already a “massive squad” full of international talent at Old Trafford.
He suggested the board do not want to be seen showing any
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “They’ve got the squad, I just don’t think they’ve got the structure of a team.
“I think the board think they’ve got the players. They’ve spent the money, they’ve got the players there.
“There’s a massive squad so you shouldn’t struggle to find a team that is full of international quality.
“I don’t think it’s the right time to go out there splashing the cash. It shows panic as well, I think, if they start doing that with the performances they’ve given.
“Man United have definitely got the players, they just haven’t got it right on the field.”

United spent £135million on signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer as well as funding their huge salaries.
While there are no plans for new signings, five players have been told they can leave in January.
