‘Disgrace’, ‘Rank rotten’ – Rangers fans annihilate midfielder for display v Motherwell
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Graham Dorrans on his return from injury in the 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday.
Dorrans, 30, had not played in five months before he was named in the starting line-up against Stephen Robinson’s side, a decision which Graeme Murty may have regretted making as he failed to keep up with the pace, according to supporters.
The former Norwich and West Brom midfielder was played in a much deeper role than he is perhaps usually used to and Light Blues fans believe that is a major reason why he was so ineffective on Saturday.
One angry supporter claimed that Dorrans was “rank rotten” against the Steelmen.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Dorrans has made just 14 appearances in all competitions for Rangers due to injury.
It seems that he will now be a mainstay of Murty’s starting line-up for the last couple of months of the campaign, especially as a fully fit Sean Goss was dropped for him to start against Motherwell.
Since arriving in Ibrox the 11-times Scotland international has been among the goals as well, scoring five times.
Two of those came on his Premiership debut for the Light Blue against Motherwell in a 2-1 win at Fir Park last August.
