'Absolutely woeful' – Rangers fans react to 27-yr-old's performance v Ayr United

Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham had a moment to forget when his catastrophic error gifted Ayr United a goal in his side’s Scottish Cup fifth round clash at Somerset Park
After a routine back pass from David Bates, the former Swindon star tried to move the ball more central to launch it clear but only succeeded in gifting Ayr’s Alan Forrest a tap in.
Foderingham was a surprise starter against Ayr with Jak Alnwick usually given the gloves in cup ties.
However Gers fans were furious with the 27-year-old after the howler and destroyed the keeper on social media – with one fan calling the keeper’s performance “abysmal.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Foderingham followed that howler up by almost gifting Ayr a second goal a few minutes later when he came charging to the edge of his 18 yard box to punch the ball clear and missed.
The keeper’s blushes were spared after his second error after the Honest Men failed to get their shot on target.
The Gers keeper is normally the picture of consistency for the Ibrox giants and the uncharacteristic mistakes could afftect the star’s confidence.
Foderingham has made 122 appearances since joining the Gers in 2015 and has been a mainstay in the starting XI since his arrival at Ibrox.
