‘Good news’ – Rangers fans react on Twitter to senior player injury blow
Rangers striker Kenny Miller faces a “significant” period on the sidelines after suffering a ruptured hamstring – and Gers fans have shamefully put the boot in to the senior striker,
Miller, 37, was stretchered off only 15 minutes into last week’s 2-1 win over Hibernian but could now be facing months out of action – and potentially the end of his Rangers career – as he rehabilitates his injury.
The Gers confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.
The injury to Miller now leaves Rangers a bit short of numbers up-front with only Josh Windass, Alfredo Morelos and Eduardo Herrera available as first-team strikers.
Rangers fans were bizarrely delighted to see the striker ruled out for so long after his poor form for the Gers so far this season.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Miller has enjoyed three spells with the Ibrox giants and has scored 115 times in 296 appearances for the Gers.
During his time with the Gers, Miller has won three Scottish titles, two Scottish League Cups and a Scottish Cup.
With the striker’s contract up at the end of the season and injury likely ruling him out of all but the final few games of the season, it’s unlikely now that Miller will be offered new terms at Ibrox.
