Rangers fans react on Twitter to Caixinha first game in charge v Hamilton

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans on Twitter were understandably delighted with the way Pedro Caixinha started life in Glasgow against Hamilton on Saturday.

The 46-year-old Portuguese boss was named Gers manager just last weekend, taking over the reigns from Mark Warburton.

With the famous Scottish club placed in third in the Premiership it was important that he got off to a good start and he did just that with an emphatic 4-0 win over Hamilton at Ibrox.

Goals from Emerson Hyndman, Clint Hill, Martyn Waghorn and Lee Wallace ensured the three points stayed at home and many Rangers fans on social media were complimentary of the way the Gers went about their victory.

One fan shared that it was the best he had seen the club play all season, while many were proud of the way the team pressed and won the ball back.

The win on Saturday has seen Rangers remain in third place and eight points behind second placed Aberdeen after they beat Hearts 2-0 earlier in the day.

The Gers will next face Motherwell after the international break, who are placed in 10th following a 2-1 defeat against St. Johnstone.
