Rangers fans react on Twitter to Toral display v Hamilton

By Harvey Byrne

Jon Toral played the full 90 minutes in Rangers’ 4-0 Saturday victory over Hamilton at Ibrox – and Gers fans on Twitter were delighted with his display.

The 22-year-old midfielder made the switch to Glasgow from Premier League side Arsenal in January on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Some have been critical of his displays since joining, but it was a different story against the Accies as he impressed with a number of dangerous balls, as well as providing the assist from a free-kick for Clint Hill’s goal.

The Spaniard did not trouble the score sheet with goals coming from Martyn Waghorn, Emerson Hyndman, Lee Wallace and Hill to ensure the three points stayed in Glasgow.

However, a large number of Rangers fans took to social media to comment on impressive Toral display.

One supporter shared they felt the midfield ace was the man-of-the-match, while another felt that Toral looked a new player.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Saturday’s appearance marked Toral’s 10th since joining, bringing a return of one goal and two assists.

He will now be looking to continue with his fine form before returning to Arsenal in the summer.
