Rangers fans stunned by what Alex Lowry did last night in new footage

Rangers fans have been stunned by what Alex Lowry did for the B team during their opening SPFL Trust Trophy fixture.

The 21-year-old scored twice as they beat Clyde 3-2, including a stoppage-time winner just as the game looked set to end in a stalemate.

His first goal, however, was the one which caught the attention of the fans.

In a clip which quickly did the rounds on social media, Lowry cut inside before hitting a curling and dipping strike into the top corner from 25 yards.

The youngster has been made to train and play for the B team rather than the first team after Football Insider revealed he has been told to find a new club this summer.

However, fans are now calling for him to be given a chance to impress under Philippe Clement after his performances in recent weeks.

Rangers fans demand Alex Lowry decision after what they saw last night v Clyde

Lowry spent the first half of last season on loan at Hearts, but struggled to make the desired impact as he made just 18 appearances before moving back to Ibrox.

His involvement at Rangers has also been minimal, totalling just 14 appearances for the club after coming through the academy system.

There have been questions surrounding his attitude and application to the game and whether it is hindering his progress, but nobody can deny his talent.

Fans are insisting he should be more heavily involved with the first team, particularly given the lack of creativity going forward, and have taken to social media to express their views.
