‘Good fit for us’ – Rangers fans react to ex-Euro giants coach Wednesday announcement
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to hire Paul Clement after he was sacked by Premier League strugglers Swansea on Wednesday.
The Welsh giants announced on their official Twitter account on Wednesday evening that Clement, 45, had been relieved of his duties at the Liberty Stadium after seeing his Swans side drop to the bottom of the league table.
Clement was appointed in charge of Swansea in January of this year, and was just short of reaching a full 12 months at the helm in South Wales.
Now, Rangers could face a threat from the Swans as they hunt for a new manager, or, according to the clubs’ loyal supporters, they could make a move to bring in the former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain coach.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Clement’s first job in management was at Swansea but he has a great deal of experience which would suggest that he could adapt to the pressure that comes with the Ibrox hotseat.
He may not be a ‘Rangers man’ that most people seem to want, but working at European giants like Madrid and PSG would be a huge advantage to the Light Blues as they look to end the search for Caixinha’s successor.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are favourites to sign this international forward after he made a major revelation about his future.
