For all that Fabio Cardoso frustrates supporters, he hasn’t looked terrible alongside McCrorie in the few opportunities they’ve had.
If a new manager can get some sort of consistency out of the Portuguese defender, he and McCrorie could be a formidable partnership at the heart of defence.
There’s still a long way to go for Cardoso though but at only 23, if he can sort his performances out, a pairing with McCrorie could be good in the future.
For now though, it’s unlikely to be a first-choice pairing
