Another one of Caixinha’s signings who has failed to deliver is Herrera.
The 29-year-old Mexican has already been linked with a return to his home nation and Allen should not stand in the centre-forward’s way.
He has scored just two goals since signing up for Rangers and does not look as though he will ever get into the starting line-up unless there is some kind of mass injury crisis.
