£10m Reading offer reportedly incoming: Newcastle must leapfrog Stam to sign PL hotshot – view

Move to suit all partiesNewcastle manager Rafael Benitez looks on from the touchline

With Wells having less than 12 months remaining on his current contract, Huddersfield will be keen to push through a deal to sell the attacker now rather than next summer.

Wells will be allowed to leave on a free and if they can receive £10million for his services now, they will be keen to cash in and any move for Wells will therefore be a swift one.

That will see the Toon complete a deal to sign Wells in smart fashion, potentially before their opening match against Tottenham on August 2013 if they do make a move.
