Real Madrid ‘want Pedro Porro from Tottenham if Alexander-Arnold falls through’
Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro is under consideration by Real Madrid ahead of the next transfer window, The Athletic have reported.
The Spanish giants have of course, been heavily linked with Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool recently, as they look for a new right-back.
It is noted that there is strong interest in the England international from Spain and other countries as well, meaning Madrid face a battle for his services, while it remains unclear if he will leave Anfield.
He is therefore not the only name who is being looked at for the role at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Spurs star Porro is also being monitored by Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The Spaniard joined Tottenham in January 2023, signing from Sporting CP. He still has around three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, securing his future in North London until the summer of 2028.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is another option who is apparently being considered by the Champions League holders.

It feels essential for Spurs that they do all they can to keep their right-back despite this interest from the Spanish giants.
After a slow start to his time with the club Porro has now developed into a very good option for them at Premier League level.
He has certainly made some big contributions for Tottenham in recent weeks, and so could be key to their progress going forward.
Losing the 25-year-old would arguably also leave them short on senior experienced options on the right of their defence, which would clearly be a problem.
The fact though that unlike Alexander-Arnold, Porro does have a contract beyond the end of this season, may provide hope to Spurs that they can keep hold of the Spaniard.
Ange Postecoglou have plenty to think about when it comes to this interest from La Liga in the lead-up to January, but should have some confidence in his position.
