Awards haul proves that Celtic star is once in a generation talent

COMMENT

Kieran Tierney has to go down as a once in a generation talent. The Celtic left-back – who is still only 20-years-old – became the first player ever to be named as Scotland’s young player of the year on Sunday night.

The award was revealed by the PFA Scotland’s official Twitter account.

The player has become the first in Scottish football history to win the award three times, which is a sign of the quality he possess as a player.

At only 20-years-old he has already captained the Scotland first-team, captained the Hoops and will only get better as he gets older…but there is an elephant in the room.

The problem that the Hoops will have is holding on to the player for the foreseeable future. It doesn’t matter how fanatical a Hoops fan he is, as soon as a huge bid comes in for the player the Bhoys would have to consider, at the very least selling him.

Manchester United are known to be fans of the player, whilst in the last 24 hours the Sun reported that Bournemouth and Tottenham were also keeping tabs on Tierney.

The only good thing that would come out of Tierney’s departure for the Hoops is that they would make lots of money from the deal – but it would leave fans heartbroken.

For now though, fans should concentrate on watching a player who is perhaps the best to come out of Scotland in the last 25 years – he is that good.

In other Celtic news, the Hoops should give a debut to Karamoko Dembele
