Leeds reach agreement with left-sided flyer after Italian interest – report

Leeds United have agreed personal terms with highly rated left-back Laurens De Bock, however the Whites are still negotiating a fee with Club Brugge, according to a reliable journalist.
Belgian journalist Tomas Taecke reported via his Twitter account that the Belgian defender had agreed terms with Leeds.

HLN, who Taecke works for, have since reported that there was also interest in De Bock from an Italian team, however the 25-year-old would prefer a move to the Championship.
It also said that while Brugge paid £2.6m for him in 2013, they would now likely accept a smaller fee.
Should a deal be finalised between the Whites and Club Brugge this will plug a key area of weakness this season, as the Whites have sturggled at left-back.
De Bock has amassed over 130 appearances for Club Brugge and was also twice called up to the Belgian international squad as injury cover.
The pacey defender has only played in Belgium, firstly for Lokeren, before moving to Club Brugge in 2013, so could take time to adapt to the tough nature of the ultra-competitive Championship division.
Football Insider verdict:
Laurens De Bock is a promissing player. Aged only 25, the young Belgian has time on his side to adapt to the English footballing way. De Bock has represented Belgium at every level from Under-16 to Under-21 and was also twiced called up to the senior squad, showing how highly rated the defender is in Belgium. Any deal will likely be only a small fee, so this could be a nice piece of business by Leeds United.
