Reportedly allowed to leave: Aston Villa must strengthen defence by re-signing PL stopper – view
Elphick set to join Baker in leaving?
Nathan Baker has completed a move to Midlands rivals Bristol City this summer, as he is likely to have fallen down the pecking order behind signings Terry and Samba.
The Mirror have also claimed that former Bournemouth star Tommy Elphick could join Baker for what is likely to be similar reasons, with Leeds, Sunderland and Birmingham interested.
If the duo leave, Villa will be left with just Terry, Samba and James Chester with Micah Richards seemingly ostracised. That should be enough convincing for Bruce to replace the duo with a player such as Collins.
In other Aston Villa transfer news, the Midlands outfit should also be considering to blow Brighton out of the water to sign this £8million-rated attacker.
