Celtic supporters have been left raging on Twitter after the club decided to sign defender Marvin Compper from RB Leipzig.
The 32-year-old centre-back has joined from Leipzig after agreeing terms to a two-and-a-half year contract, and will join his team-mates in January.
The Scottish champions announced the deal on their official Twitter account, and their followed a host of reactions from fans, with many frustrated that the player is ineligible for the Europa League last 32 games against Zenit.

Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that the new signing will shore a defence that has looked poor in recent weeks, particularly in the 4-0 loss to Hearts which ended Celtic’s domestic undefeated streak.
The player has plenty of experience, with spells at Hoffenheim and Fiorentina, and looks set to be a first-team regular after the winter break.
To matters on the pitch, the Bhoys return to action on Wednesday, taking on Partick Thistle at Celtic Park, hoping to return to winning ways and extend their lead over Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership to five points.
