Leeds United are closing in on four new signings in a stunning early-July transfer blitz, Football Insider understands.

Manchester City winger Jack Harrison and Brighton defender Ben White have already started medicals, and Wolves winger Helder Costa and Barcelona B striker Rafa Mujica are set to follow in the coming days.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club have agreements to sign Harrison, White and Costa on season-long loans while rising star Mujica is set to pen a permanent contract.

Marcelo Bielsa instructed the Leeds hierarchy and recruitment chief Victor Orta to make early inroads in the summer window, in order for the bulk of the new arrivals to be in place for the club’s pre-season programme.

The Argentine is now set to welcome the reinforcements, with three of the four – Costa, Harrison and White – pencilled in for first-team roles next season.

Harrison, 22, will return for a second campaign on loan from Manchester City, while White, 21, will also gain valuable experience under a stellar coach after failing to establish himself in the Brighton first team.

It is the signing of Costa, 25, that will really excite the Leeds faithful, given his status as a Portugal international with extensive top-flight experience at leading European clubs.

The wide forward also knows the Championship well after playing a key role in Wolves’ promotion campaign two seasons ago.

Mujica is set to link up with the Under-23s before trying to push for a place in the first-team squad after scoring seven goals in 33 matches for Barcelona B in Spain’s regionalised third tier last season.
