Revealed: Leeds in advanced talks to sign two new players, one will pen long-term deal

Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign Manchester City winger Jack Harrison and Barcelona starlet Rafa Mujica, Football Insider understands.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider the deals could be sealed in the coming days and herald the start of the club’s summer recruitment following progress behind the scenes this week.
Football Insider revealed at the start of this week that Leeds have tabled a £1million-plus loan offer to City for the 22-year-old and the deal could be announced within days.
United also offered a contract to forward Mujica last month that he has now accepted and he is set to head to England to pen a long-term contract and complete a transfer from Spain.

The youngster, who has been capped by Spain at Under-19 level, scored seven goals from 33 appearances for Barcelona B in Spain’s regionalised third tier last season.
He released a statement on his personal social media accounts last night about the unforgettable and happy years he spent in Barcelona and thanked the technical staff, the club and his family.

Harrison will re-join Leeds’ senior squad as he looks to build on his mixed loan last season, while Mujica will be the latest in a series of signings from Spain made during the tenure of recruitment chief Victor Orta.
United have strengthened their Under-23s set-up with a number of signings from Orta’s homeland, although some of these have struggled to settle and returned to Spain.
