Revealed: Man City bombshell? Kevin De Bruyne wanted for sensational Saudi summer move
Man City superstar Kevin De Bruyne remains a top target and top priority for Saudi Pro League clubs in this year’s summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 32-year-old first emerged as an option for the growing footballing powerhouse last year – but his injury problems mean a move has had to go on the back burner.
Football Insider revealed via a well-placed source on Friday (5 January) that “nothing will happen” in the January window with regards to a potential switch for De Bruyne.

However, it is believed some Saudi sides are reluctant to spend big in the winter window as they plot moves for the likes of De Bruyne in the summer.
He will feature especially on the list of top targets for sides in the Saudi Pro League if the midfielder can prove he is over his injury problems in the second half of the season.
The Belgium international sustained the problem in the first game of the 2023-24 campaign and is only just returning to training ahead of a full recovery.
De Bruyne is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium in June 2025 and no progress has been made on a new deal.
He made 49 total appearances last term, notching 10 goals and 31 assists in a stellar season as City won a historic treble.

The likes of Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez have filled in for the superstar in an attacking midfield role during his injury but are yet to make a similar impact.
Man City sit third in the Premier League and trail leaders Liverpool by five points with a game in hand on the Merseysiders.
