After signing an initial 18-month deal, he penned a short-term extension last summer—but with that contract now set to expire next month, there has been no word on further renewal talks.
Earlier this month, Football Insider reported that Jorginho is expected to leave Arsenal as a free agent when his deal runs out.
His game time this season has been limited, with Declan Rice and Thomas Partey often preferred by Mikel Arteta in the heart of midfield.
Despite the uncertainty around his future, the Italian shared a positive message with supporters, showing his appreciation and connection to the club during what could be his final weeks in North London.

Jorginho closing in on Flamengo move amid Arsenal exit
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Jorginho appeared in high spirits after Arsenal’s final home game of the season with a victory over Newcastle at the Emirates.
The Italian midfielder shared a light-hearted video on Instagram of himself dancing with club mascot Gunnersaurus, captioning the post: “Some fun with our Gunner on the last game of the season at the Emirates.”
Fellow countryman and Arsenal teammate Riccardo Calafiori showed his appreciation by liking the post.
Although there has been no official confirmation, all signs point to the 33-year-old edging closer to the exit door with reports suggesting Flamengo are exploring a deal to bring the Jorginho to Brazil in time for this summer’s Club World Cup [The Athletic].
The Gunners are reportedly open to accommodating an early departure if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

Despite Real Madrid’s previous interest in Zubimendi it seems as if Arsenal have already laid the groundwork ahead of a deal.
The Spaniard has been linked with a number of top clubs in recent years, including Liverpool last summer, but it appears Arteta’s side may finally win the race for the long-term target.
