Riccardo Calafiori reacts to new Declan Rice announcement at Arsenal
Arsenal have issued a new announcement concerning Declan Rice, prompting a respons from his Gunners teammate Riccardo Calafiori.
It was a mixed season for Mikel Arteta‘s side, who once again showcased their quality and potential on a regular basis with some excellent performances.
Despite that, they were forced to settle for a third consecutive second place finish in the Premier League table, while also being eliminated in the cup competitions to end another campaign without silverware.
Even so, there were still plenty of memorable moments for those connected with Arsenal to look back on with fondness.

Declan Rice recognised for Real Madrid magic
One of the standout matches from the season for those connected with the Gunners will have been the Champions League quarter final victory over defending champions Real Madrid.
That began with Arteta’s side winning the first leg of that tie 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium, a game in which Rice stole the headline by scoring two incredible free kicks for Arsenal.
The England international has now been rewarded for those contributions, after the club announced that the second of those free kicks has been named as their Goal of the Season.
After Arsenal officially confirmed that award for Rice on their Instagram page, Calafiori was among those to react, with defender showing support for his teammate by liking that post.
Arsenal can go for more next season
Those wins over Real Madrid were incredible nights for anyone connected with the Gunners, and Rice can rightly be proud by the quality he produced with those two goals.
Even so, there will be a frustration that they did not make the absolute most of that, being knocked out by PSG in the next stage of the competition to end their hopes of a trophy.
Anyone connected with Arsenal, and those looking in at the club from elsewhere, will be aware of the fact that they are good enough to claim silverware.
With that in mind, the fact it continues to elude them will be incredibly frustrating, and more moments like this may be needed next season if they are to change that.
Like most players, Rice has time this summer to rest and recover after a long season, but Arsenal will be looking to him to come up with the goods in this way again come the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
