Robinson issues big-money Tottenham transfer claim after Spurs insider’s landmark Kane news
Paul Robinson has backed Harry Kane to end speculation over his future by signing a new contract at Tottenham.
The former Spurs goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted there are “really exciting times ahead” for the Lilywhites under Antonio Conte.
Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club via his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, told this site on Monday (27 December) he has heard from “well-placed” sources Tottenham are confident of agreeing a new contract with Kane.

The striker is “very, very happy” working under Conte, according to Wenham.
Robinson suggested the Italian manager would be able to lure a different calibre of player to Spurs in upcoming transfer windows.
As such, he claimed Kane may be willing to commit his future in north London.
Robinson told Football Insider’s Dylan Childs: “I have always said the only way this (transfer speculation) is going to go away is if he signs a new contract.
“I think now he’s back among the goals, he’s happy playing again. It looks like he’s enjoying playing under Antonio Conte.
“You can’t say that from experience because you don’t know but you can say what you see. On the pitch, he looks like a different player.
“He is back between the posts, he is getting service and he is scoring goals. For him to sign a new contract there, people may laugh but the future does look very bright at Spurs.
“I expect the manager is going to get a lot of money to spend. Maybe not in January but in the summer. There will be players he wants to move on as well.
“The players he is going to attract are certainly going to improve that squad. If Harry Kane commits himself and is part of that, there are really exciting times ahead for Tottenham.”

Kane scored just once in his opening 13 Premier League appearances this season.
However, he netted against both Liverpool and Crystal Palace in Spurs’ most recent games.
