Celtic star is bang on the money with honest admission about unbeaten run

COMMENT
Celtic winger and reigning Scottish player of the year Scott Sinclair has made some interesting comments about the Bhoys’ 69 match unbeaten domestic record.
The Englishman, as quoted by the Scottish Sun, admitted that both the players and the supporters to an extent were willing to accept dropped points as long as the run kept going, which goes against what Celtic are all about.
This was shown in the 2-2 draw with Hibs at Easter Road in December, where supporters seemed more relieved that a Mikael Lustig goal-line clearance had kept the unbeaten run going than annoyed that the Hoops had thrown away a two goal lead.
As Sinclair also says, at a big club like Celtic the aim is to try and win every game you play in, and although that is of course an unrealistic proposition it is still a better attitude to have than accepting dropped points.
Since the unbeaten run came to an end in the 4-0 loss to Hearts, priorities seemed to turned back to winning matches, and dropped points have been met with the kind of reaction you expect at a big club.
The recent goal less draw with bitter rivals Rangers wasn’t deemed as acceptable and it will be the same with any more dropped points after the winter break.
