Sheffield Wednesday player ratings v Birmingham: 27-year-old is poor
COMMENT By Harvey Byrne
Football Insider rates the Sheffield Wednesday players in their 3-0 win against Birmingham in the Championship on Friday evening.
Keiren Westwood 6 – Had little to do in goal, but did his job between the sticks when called upon.
Jack Hunt 8 – Made a number of surging runs which finished with dangerous balls. Setup the second goal with a top class cross into the box.
Vincent Sasso 7 – Was very commanding in the back line. Won the majority of the aerial duels to help his side keep a clean sheet.
Glenn Loovens 7 – Made sure he was always in charge when the ball came in his direction. The two centre-backs gave a top display.
Morgan Fox 5 – Birmingham put must of their attacks down the right side of the pitch and the winter signing looked questionable at times. Not his best performance.
Ross Wallace 7 – Played a wonderful ball into the box for the opening goal. A good display all round from the Scotsman.
Sam Hutchinson 6 – Helped control the centre of the park without contributing too much up the pitch.
Barry Bannan 6 – Worked well alongside Hutchinson in the middle. Both players ensured Birmingham had to attack down the flanks.
Fernando Forestieri 7 – Struggled to influence the game down the left before being brought off in the second half. A poor display from the 27-year-old.
Sam Winnall 5 – A number of chances fell his way, but he struggled with many before finally finding the back of the net with 10 minutes to go.
Jordan Rhodes 7 – Didn’t feature a lot, but popped up in the right moment to head home the opening goal for his side.
