‘Shocker’, ‘Blatant’ – Celtic fans rage over what Steven Naismith did in win v Hearts
Celtic fans on social media have reacted with fury to a challenge on Hoops captain Scott Brown by Hearts attacker Steven Naismith, in the game which ended 3-1 to the Bhoys.
Naismith looked to have stamped on the Hoops skipper, in a challenge which was missed by referee Bobby Madden, and it will be interesting to see if the challenge it looked it at by the compliance officer.
Hoops fans were livid at the challenge by the former Rangers man, with one claiming that it was ‘cowardly’.
Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans to the challenge on Brown:
The Hoops skipper was involved in a battle with Naismith throughout the game, and it was a bit of a shock that neither man was sent-off.
Brown is having one of the best seasons of his career, and the 32-year-old was recently named as Scotland’s player of the year, nine years after winning the award for the first time.
The player is also set to be named as player of the year by the Scottish football writers.
Brown lead the Hoops to the treble last season, and he has the chance to make history as Hoops captain as the Bhoys go for their second consecutive domestic treble when they take on Motherwell in the Scottish Cup Final in a fortnight’s time.
