Joe Gomez completed 90 minutes in the draw against Arsenal on Friday night – and the Liverpool fans ripped into him on Twitter.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had to settle for a point after a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
The visitors were cruising with a two-goal lead after goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah.
However, Arsenal then produced a stunning spell of three goals in five second-half minutes to swing the balance completely.
Roberto Firmino’s goal in the 71st minute turned out to be the last of the game in a crazy contest, which highlighted both teams defensive frailties.
Gomez, 20, was at fault for letting Arsenal back into the game as he switched off at the back post and allowed an unmarked Alexis Sanchez to score a header to make it 2-1.
Liverpool fans on social media were rating with the defender’s lapse in concentration that turned the game on its head.

Gomez took a lot of slack on Twitter for his role in Liverpool’s collapse and the England international will be disappointed with switching off.
